Dwarf Galaxias - Galaxiella pusilla

The dwarf galaxias is a Victorian local species of small, scale less fish. They are an awesome addition to ponds of any size, they will hang about the plant life on the margins of the pond and occasionally leave the safety of the margins to cruise around the rest of the pond in search of food. This species is a good community fish as it is not aggressive to other fish however choose it's pond mates carefully as it only grows to about 50mm in length.

In the wild, Dwarf Galaxia feed on various zooplankton in the water. It is recommended to feed your fish a flake diet, because of their small mouth you may need to grind it up in your fingers to bite size pieces for them before feeding.

Dwarf Galaxias are frog and tadpole safe and will not bother or interfere with their habitat and breeding cycles.
